The new movie, Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey, is a Christmas musical fantasy film, premiered on Netflix on 13th November 2020. It is written and directed by David E. Talbert. The story is about Jeronicus Jangle, an inventor, a toymaker, and owner of a toy manufacturing factory, “Jangle and Things”; after receiving the last component for his latest invention that he thinks will change his and his family’s life forever, he leaves to celebrate. The component will be used to give birth to Don Juan Diego, his latest invention, a matador doll which can perceive and feel emotions and shows one too. Diego was distressed about the mass- production of his look-alikes that will make him lose his uniqueness. So Don convinces Jeronicus’s apprentice Gustafson, who himself was an ambitious inventor, to take him and Jeronicus’s book of inventions and start his own toy-making empire. After this incident, Jeronicus was destroyed, so his work; he couldn’t keep up his creativity, facing financial hardships, and when his wife died, he made himself distant from everyone, even his daughter, who also left him too. Now he is financially broke with the bank’s order to take away his shop if he is unable to invent anything unique. The arrival of his estranged granddaughter, Journey Jangle, who also has the same passion as his grandfather, gives new hope to Jeronicus and his factory, as she helped his grandfather discovering a long lost toy which can revive their business and their lost glory.
